Fall Mantelpiece Decor Idea
It’s amazing how much time you can waste online without even trying…ha ha. But I prefer to think of it as scrolling for ideas.
I now have a digital folder of craft ideas ready to go for when our grandsons visit!
The other day I watched a woman share her video of a beautiful, fall mantelpiece decorating idea and I just had to try it.
First of all we (I accidentally got Terry involved in this craft. He LOVED it….ha ha ha again.) went shopping at Canadian Tire to see if we could still find pool noodles. I needed the thinner kind and was so lucky to discover they still had a couple left.
Then, Terry made a single slit along the back with his Swiss Army knife. Then we pushed it onto the lip of the mantel and it hugged it very snuggly. (Good thing we bought 2 noodles because we needed an extra third.)
The video lady used all plastic foliage but I wanted to see if I could mix fake leaves with my own hydrangea flowers.
All we had to do was shorten the stems and push them into the noodle. No glue. No string. Very easy.
What do you think of the finished results?
