off to prince edward island

We have arrived in charlottetown p.e.i. After a day of travelling by car and ferry. We had a beautiful , sunny morning to pack up the car this morning but the rain soon came to accompany us on our drive to catch the pictou ferry to p.e.i. .

The ferry ride was free and fast too but the winds made it a pretty choppy trip and I was happy to get back on land for our drive to charlottetown. On the way there we decided to detour off to the coast for a ‘look-see’ and ended up in georgetown for lunch . Fish and chips….what else?

Then we did a coastal drive and stopped at a few lighthouses including one at the very eastern tip of the island. We also checked out a couple of corny gift shops and found out that the mood rings we tried on indicated that we were both ‘romantic’ . We laughed when the proprietor of that store yelled out …” enjoy your evening ” with regards to our ring colours as we exited…ha ha.

As we neared charlottetown we stopped at this wonderful pumpkin farm and enjoyed all the vignettes set up by the staff. Wish we could have purchased some of the pumpkins.

We are staying in another bed & breakfast and have our first show (since 7 days ago….) Tomorrow night at baba’s lounge, a couple of blocks away.
