Hugo’s Advent Crèche
For the last few years our friend, Hugo (originally from Columbia) from the Marian Centre puts together a massive crèche that he has made and continues to grow each year.
It is a heck of a lot of loving work to create the buildings, the streams, fire, wee pots, pans, etc. and then put them all together to create the journey of Mary and Joseph.
This year it is even larger and has the sounds of running water, birds, and other peaceful things. The lighting is beautiful too.
Hugo even travels with the many boxes that hold the characters and village when he is moved to another location.
I wish you could visit it. The details are astounding. Terry painted the backdrop for it!
What a gift of love for our community!
Thank-you, Hugo.
