Bad Buddy!
Live music. Oh how long we’ve all waited to gather and enjoy an outdoor concert instead of another Zoom one. ( although how blessed were we to HAVE them?!)
When our province gave the “O.K.” to fully open up, our daughter’s band, Bad Buddy, quickly got bookings and (almost!)our whole visiting family got to attend her first live show here in Edmonton!
They sold out quickly- which is not surprising.
There is a really neat property called “Lowlands” which offers a back yard and stage for art shows and concerts and this is where we had the pleasure of attending.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! It wasn’t too hot, there weren’t TOO many wasps, and a slight breeze for comfort.
It was like ‘old home week’ to see some of Emma’s friends after all this time. And of course, having our daughter, Lana, and her boyfriend, Jeff, from California finally with us is just the best. AND Lana and Jeff purchased the tickets for our whole gang!
Emily enlisted her parents to take “Go Pro” video and phone photos and vids.
And how was the show? I know I sound like a proud mom (which I am!) but the concert was perfection. Perfect sound. Perfect harmonies. Perfect energy, banter, songs, players….I could go on and on. The crowd LOVED it!
What a great start to the re-opening of our city.
Now, please God none of us get covid. Gotta start trusting sometime I guess.
