Beautiful Besties

Oddly, sometimes it’s tough to finally get together after counting the days till you can …..knowing it’s all going to go by too fast! (Talk about not living in the moment….ha ha)

But the time finally came for me to meet up with my ‘forever friends’ and the Lord shone his light on us in the form of good health and perfect weather. We met up in Woodstock, Ontario at Kelsey’s for lunch then soon after made our way over to our home away from home for the weekend.

Our Air B & B was SO beautiful with park-like grounds, plenty of gorgeous rooms in which to hang out , and “Disney” like animals flying in or walking about the property. I have never seen so many hummingbirds in my life!

Our first evening pizza night was yummy and we didn’t get as much salad as we would have liked….ha ha ha. There were places to pray and places to pretend we were ‘Hobbits’…ha ha again. It was sunny and delightful to be with these amazing, funny, spiritual, kind, and lovely women.

The second evening we had the pleasure of great meals at “My Thai” restaurant in Cambridge and then off to my new favourite musical,”Beautiful”, the Carole King story. Oh man. EVERYTHING about this production was perfection to me from the set to the acting to the incredible singing and orchestra. I HIGHLY recommend this show if you ever have the chance to see it.

Gifts. I love that we share ‘gifts of the spirit’ as well as our musical gifts and this year, some surprise gifts too. What joy!

There was beauty everywhere I looked.

The glorious time flew by and the final morning we met up for breakfast at the Pancake House for another tasty meal before we all headed home to our different cities.

I guess the countdown to next year has already begun for me.

Thank-goodness we have our ‘covid created’ Zoom calls every Sunday to keep us together!
