The Beauty of Home

This year it was especially lovely to arrive home to the blue skies after leaving the smoky views of Edmonton.

My mother is a wonderful gardener and she has created such beauty on their property that I have watched blossom and grow since I was a child and lived in that same home. (Although renovated now.)

The redbud trees were in all their glory when I arrived and the tulips and lilacs were at their prettiest too.

I love the whole property from the side yard, the back porch, the front porch (with the new rocking chairs) , to the cozy indoor spaces.

It is a beautiful home that is very welcoming.

I love sitting in one of those places and just enjoying the robins or blue jays or cardinals that fly in for a snack or a bath.

I especially enjoy seeing the cardinals because we don’t have those back in Alberta. (But they don’t have magpies so we all have something special in our own cities I guess.)

I hope to capture a photo of a blue jay next.
