Bourton-On-The-Water Model village

As we were leaving to move to our next VRBO we had a contingent of peacocks that seems to come over to say ‘goodbye’ to us! We counted eight of them and although they didn’t have their pretty tails their colours were still so vibrant.

On the way to the “Oast Barn” we decided to stop at the ‘Mini Model Village"‘ in Bourton-on-the Water that we found out about because of our lovely British/Canadian friend, Pat. It was really really something as it perfectly emulated the entire village! It seemed to be the perfect time to visit both because the autumn colours were in full blush and the skies were clear with big, puffy clouds.

The Model Village was incredibly detailed and so much fun to walk around.

Although there were a fair amount of people there is was easy to get around the paths to check out all of the buildings. I’ll attach a couple of photos of the actual village buildings with their counterparts in the Model Village….

We had a really nice stroll through the real village as well and I even found a ‘new’ vase for my collection in the local antique store. Then we had an incredible charcuterie board lunch at the Old New Inn before it was time to make the long drive over to our next residence.
