For Love Of Edmonton…Part 1

Do you ever drive home and suddenly realise you don’t know how you got there? Ha Ha. Well, I do that too but mostly I drive around trying NOT to take photos of our beautiful city. There is so much to love about Edmonton from the old and new buildings to the copious amount of Festivals to the murals to the park areas.

We actually have a mural festival every year now so more and more buildings are getting ‘decorated’ in this way. I love the cultural areas like Chinatown and the old buildings like the CKUA downtown.

We always seem to have incredible clouds on display no matter what the season and ever since they took out the downtown airport we are starting to get taller, more interesting buildings too.

I love how the sun reflects off of the buildings in early morning and dusk.

What’s crazy is that I didn’t drive around looking for photos for this blog. I just took photos all throughout the summer and fall that caught my eye. And suddenly …I had enough for 2 blogs!

That last photo is of the Edmonton Folk Festival taken by my friend, Pam Karatzas. We didn’t have a chance to attend this year but we loved the Fringe Fest.
