Family, Rehearsals

What a much needed respite this part of the tour has been !

Knowing that we are sleeping in a comfortable bed at night ( one out of the 27 different ones we are to experience.) Home cooked meals, not having to go anywhere right away or even get dressed till we want….heaven ! ( How do the kids do it? Lol)

I am so excited about singing with my sisters tonight ! My sister, maryanne has been saving her voice for tonight ( tired throat) but I did get to rehearse with my other sister, pamela. ( Oh , wouldn’t it be great if paula could sing with us too …but she was just recently out visiting from edmonton too .)

All of us girls play guitar and sing and we certainly get our talents from our wonderful folks. Our mum and dad both still sing in their church choir ! Mum plays the piano and so does terry’s mum. My dad used to be in an award winning boys’ choir in england and terry’s dad actually used to play steel guitar I heard.

We have had a good time hanging out with family , playing wizard or tile rummy or just chatting and laughing. Always laughing.

This afternoon we also had a great rehearsal with peter hrastovec for his house concert tomorrow night in windsor. Peter and his wife, denise, have known terry since high school and they are in the best friend category for sure ! Pete has volunteered to augment our songs with his talent for piano and snare and we hope he will honour us by reading a couple of his poems as well. Their generosity to the city of windsor is well known and we are blessed to have them in our lives and we are excited about performing at their home.
