Day 4 : 1st invited Audience
Above : Us with ‘B.J.’ and then Terry listens to full cast rehearsal. Our piano player, Terrah, David (bass), and Jeff(acoustic guitar) and us on this gorgeous winter day.
Rehearsal didn’t begin until 1 pm so we decided to head out and once more take some frost photos. I never get tired of the beauty here : winter, spring, summer, or fall.
It was the perfect, blue sky day and I’m so glad we took the time to stop.
Upon returning we did a ‘cue to cue’ for music (and with some directions from Morris Ertman for each scene.)
Before we knew it…..it was time to present the ‘readers’ theatre’ style show to invited guests from the Rosebud community!
The Rosebud school for the arts community was invited and other friends and I was happy to see that by showtime (7 pm) every chair was full!
Director Morris introduced the show and I realized that I was so invested in this that I couldn’t stop shaking. It was this weird nervous energy that I couldn’t seem to control. But I was totally able to enjoy every moment of the show despite the nerves and of course I had some tears at the emotional parts and because I’m so darn proud of Terry.
IT. WAS. SOOOOOOO. GREAT.
Terry learned so much about so many things : how long the play ran ( 2 hours total with a 15 minute intermission), what worked, what didn’t, how the audience responded (VERY well), and what the cast’s responses were after the show.
He will take the comments from them and think about any final changes he will make to the script. It was a wonderful experience and I’m so happy I got to be a part of it.
Somehow I managed to gather the whole gang for a photo before we dispersed. '

A HUGE thank-you to this extremely talented cast. And to Terry: You should be very proud. I can’t wait for everyone to see this.
