A Taste Of Edmonton
40th anniversary of The Taste of Edmonton! I think we’ve attended for almost 25 of those years and we always enjoy it.
We wound our way around all the construction downtown until we could find a parking spot in a nearby lot. Then we made our way over to Churchill Square to find all of the food trucks in a large circle.
The ‘Taste’ is a fun way to spend a summer night. One buys their tickets (we bought 40) and then walks around listening to many different entertainers and taste testing from our choice of food trucks rented by various restaurants in our city.
We found the line ups moved quickly and we decided to share every single ‘meal’ we bought.
I have to say it freaked me out a bit to be amongst all the crowds ….knowing that COVID is still around. But we took a chance and didn’t wear masks because we were eating of course.
It was cool to see some of our good friends there like our buddies from the Marian Centre who posed with us.
I must have been hungry because I never thought to take one photo of all the food we split.
Here is what we had :
Tortellini
Ginger beef
Green onion cakes
Mango chicken with rice
Beef brisket slider
Beef Chow Mein
Chili
Mango and strawberry frozen yogurt
Cinnamon bun
Salted caramel chocolate cake
