Quebec City
Terry and I only had one day here in quebec city, our 1st time here, so we wanted to make the most of it . Our concert was at st. Brigid’s retirement home. We expected about 20-30 people but it was more like 50 !
This is the leg of the tour that we decided to perform for the elderly and we are receiving much more than we are giving.
We had many people come up to us after the concert to meet us or thank us , some with tears in their eyes …especially after some of terry’s moving songs. 2 People in particular asked to purchase my last c .d. Because they wanted ‘ hope ‘ . ( Aka ‘ hope is’ the title of my last disc)
We had such a great time and I am very happy we made the effort …and that most people seemed to understand most of the lyrics despite this being a very french city. ( We did have a translator for our beginning talks . Thank you , mary france.)
Then it was pack up and off to explore old quebec city. If you are ever wishing that you could travel to europe but just can’t afford it….try and get to old quebec city because it feels like you are walking down the ancient streets of a city in france.
It was another picture perfect autumn day and we enjoyed taking in the beauty of the old shops, the gorgeous trees, and the bustle of the many tourists finding their way.
Tonight we splurged on a carriage ride through the walled city and enjoyed hearing about the history of the place from our driver , lennie .
