Sleep Tight
Most of us have experienced a night of ‘tossing and turning’ due to some anxieties or problem solving worries that won’t let go of our tired minds.
We all need a good night’s sleep.
And it really is true that the sun really does seem to shine brighter the next day if we can put our thoughts to rest the night before.
King David , after fleeing from his enemies, said, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” psalm 4:8
In today’s world, we are told that one shouldn’t look at a ‘blue screen’ before sleep.
“Exposure to all colors of light helps control your natural sleep-and-wake cycle, or circadian rhythm. More so than any other color, blue light messes with your body's ability to prepare for sleep because it blocks a hormone called melatonin that makes you sleepy.” Mr. Google.
Here is a nice prayer I found… :
We all know the news is anxiety making these last 2 years and it’s hard not to worry.
So let’s pray for peace. In our hearts. Our minds. Our world.
P.S. Today is my birthday. I’ll be praying for peace today too and thanking God ….for YOU!
