2025 Adventures
After a nice break from packing we popped over to Paula and Albert’s Open House.
It was lovely and festive and Paula did SO much work to make it perfect.
The next day we left our -31 snowy day and flew over to Vancouver to their rainy day…. Plenty of green grass to be seen.
We chose the Westin Bayshore on the water downtown which was lovely.
New Year’s Eve and the grandsons were so excited to see us and show us their Christmas gifts. “I” received an aquarium and the neighborhood cat, Theo, likes it too.
We had an incredible games night with all the families and our oldest son used his new pizza maker to treat us all to a wonderful variety of flavours for dinner.
Our daughter flew in from Seattle with her husband but her twin stayed home with her guy to work on their upcoming performances.
Our middle guy did trivia for us all one night, we had a family bowling day, pancake’s made by a grandson (delicious!) one morning, and lots of laughter and love. We gave our soon to be 5 year old a cute backpack filled with goodies for his Epiphany birthday.
My favourite time was using the gift J and S gave to us all for Christmas…. Tickets to a local Panto. I remembered being in one years ago in Calgary at Lunchbox Theatre . This one was called Robin Hood and it was all about the animals trying to save their parks from the big bad king…(a thinly veiled reference to Vancouver’s situations)…and absolutely hilarious and well done.
Another highlight was watching The Wizard of Oz with our middle son’s family on our last night. J had never seen it! A super time with D’s yummy rice bowls for dinner and popcorn with the movie.
Seemed funny to see flowers in the gardens and Santa in a boat! Also check out the gorgeous stockings M and I sewed at school!
Time to part ways and head to the airport once again.
Soooo happy we got to be with our gang this Christmas!
