Painting Days
When our Jasper week was cancelled due to the devastating fires there this summer, we decided to try a week long staycation in Edmonton.
As you know, I haven’t had the best of luck with these but we took a shot! Ha ha.
On the first day we drove out to the Heritage Festival in Edmonton.
Guess what? It was shut down due to the severe weather we had the night before. Oh oh.
We did manage to catch a movie called “Trap” and have a nice lunch at 'Toast’ though!
The next day after heading to the church and breakfast ,we did some painting in our own home studio as it was an overcast ,rainy day.
But firstly here is a painting I didn’t have a chance to share with you ……I previously completed this at the Marian Center.
It is from an image I took last summer in Nordegg, Alberta.
Terry gessoed his very large canvas board and then worked on repairing and older painting of his of Athabasca Falls.
I used a pretty small, black canvas and completed it in one afternoon….
