Cruisin’ to Camrose
Have you ever been to Camrose?
This has always been a fun destination point for us when we’re thinking of a longer drive.
The other day, when the weather warmed up again, we took my clean (not any more!) car out for a drive and this was another good excuse to listen once again to our audiobook, “Sabriel “. ( P.S. in the upper photos to the right we got a kick out of an industrious beaver who had a satellite dish…ha ha)
Camrose is such a pretty little city of almost 20,000 people.
It has a beautiful, modern City Hall but also tons of character and a ‘heritage’ looking area which is filled with lovely shops, restaurants and the “Bailey Theatre”. It also is the home of the “Augustana Campus” for the University of Alberta.
Terry reminded me that we should try and remember to NOT go on roadtrips on a Monday because most things are closed…ha ha.
But that said, we did stop in to a brand new Sweets Shop which (unfortunately…ha ha) was open. It’s called “The Sweeterie”.
We purchased some homemade, huge, salted caramels and saved them for our upcoming holiday away.
Soon the skies were showing off their sunset colours and it was time to return home.
What a beautiful province we have the privilege in which to live.
Peace.
