North Country Bus
When our daughter, Emily, came home from the North Country Fair grounds after a month of camping….(That’s her story to tell)….she brought me a photo she had taken of this old bus and bike in the woods.
She knows that I am working on a painting show/sale called “Ways to Get There” which will include my paintings of all sorts of vehicles from trains to bicycles.
I just love painting old vehicles with their original paint colours 3/4’s gone , the dents and broken window panes of old cars and trucks giving them such character. They already look like paintings to me when I see my photos. If it’s a cold day (yes) I like to set up a fire in the fireplace, grab a mug of hot tea, and put on one of my favourite c.d.s to set the mood.
So here is my latest painting. It’s quite large, the second largest one I’ve done for the show at 24 x 36.
