A DAY AT THE ‘LAC’S

OUR ADVENTURES CONTINUE WITH OUR SMALL MANDATE OF TRYING TO GET OUT AND ENJOY THE AUTUMN SCENERY EACH WEEK BEFORE THE COMING OF THE SNOW.

TERRY IS ALREADY ENJOYING THE OUTDOOR WEATHER WITH HIS 3 ROUNDS OF GOLF EACH WEEK. BUT I DON’T TEND TO LEAVE THE HOUSE MUCH THESE DAYS WITH COVID . OVER 100 ALBERTA SCHOOLS HAVE CASES AND OVER HALF OF WHICH ARE IN MY CITY. YIKES!

WE HEAD OUT TO ENJOY OUR DAY IN LAC ST. ANNE AND LAC LA NONNE NEAR BARRHEAD. AFTER OUR WONDERFUL PICNIC AT LAC ST. ANNE WE ‘TOOK A CHANCE’ AND ENTERED A SMALL ANTIQUE STORE IN THE TINY BEACH TOWN. I’M SURE THE STREET IS USUALLY HOPPING IN THE SUMMER.

I HAVE A COUPLE OF CRAFTY IDEAS THAT I AM SAVING FOR MYSELF TO HELP PASS THE TIME IN OUR SIX MONTHS OF WINTER (NO SNOWBIRD ACTIVITY FOR US THIS YEAR!) AND WAS DELIGHTED TO FIND JUST THE THING I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IN THAT STORE. (YOU’LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE MY FINISHED CREATION LATER).

IT WAS AN OVERCAST DAY BUT FAIRLY WARM SO WE DROVE AROUND TO LAC LA NONNE NEXT TO CHASE THE SUNSET. WE SAW A BIT OF ONE BEFORE WE HEADED HOME AND WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR DRIVE OUT IN THE COUNTRY. ALBERTA IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. MOUNTAINS, LAKES, RIVERS, FARMLANDS,CITIES, AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE….I LOVE MY PROVINCE.
