Charlottetown

We attended a gorgeous basilica for mass this morning , st. Dunsten’s. It was a very moving service and an excellent choir. As we were leaving a gentlemen told us we should check out the huge farmer’s market. We discovered later that is was the very last day of the season for it.

We had a blast shopping up and down the street, people watching, eating a delicious , homemade stew for lunch there and soaking up our first real day of hot sun. ( Terry was still in his suit and got told, ‘ you must be a lawyer. ‘ Ha ha.

We spent a lot of the afternoon in our b & b so we could rehearse as it has been a week since we picked up a guitar. Amazing how fast one can forget their words or chords. Sheesh.

Our timing for baba’s lounge was 9 p.m. Which was late for us old guys…ha ha again.

The room was up a flight of stairs so this was difficult for me and for terry who had to haul our whole sound system up himself ( until I found some kind helpers up in the bar.)

It’s a really nice place with a nice stage and acoustics . We played till 11 and had a good response from the audience but i’m glad we’re not doing any more of those kind of shows. I’ll leave that up to our daughter, emily, and one of her bands . :)

Tomorrow….back on the road again…..
