COVID IS CLIMBING IN ALBERTA . WE HAVE HAD OVER 37,000 CASES AT THIS POINT SO WE HAVE NEW RULES :
Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases across Edmonton, the surrounding region, and across Alberta, the province has announced new targeted measures to protect the health system and limit the spread of COVID-19.
Effective November 13, restrictions include:
A two-week ban on group fitness classes, team sport activities and group performance activities in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Restaurants, bars, lounges and pubs will be required to stop liquor sales by 10pm and close by 11pm. This will be in place for the next two weeks.
City of Edmonton enforcement officers will help enforce the new restrictions at clubs and bars alongside the Public Safety Compliance Team (PSCT).
Funeral and wedding ceremonies are limited to 50 attendees, and worship services are limited to one-third of regular capacity per service. These restrictions will be in place until the stress on the health system is reduced.
I HAD THE LOVELY OPPORTUNITY OF HAVING BRUNCH WITH MY SISTER, PAULA, AT ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANTS (HAP’S) WHICH IS FOLLOWING ALL PROTOCOLS AND SPARSELY ATTENDED ON A FRIDAY MORNING.
I DID END UP CANCELLING AN IN PERSON VISIT WITH A FRIEND THAT AFTERNOON BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO KEEP ONLY TO OUR ‘BUBBLE’ . WE HAD A ‘FACE TIME’ VISIT INSTEAD WHICH WAS VERY NICE.
BUT :
I WILL TRY AND THINK OF THIS LIST WHEN I GET SAD ABOUT OUR NEW NORMAL. HOW ABOUT YOU?
