Saying Good-bye For Now to Mary

My sister, Mary, is going on an adventure.

She, her husband, Grant, and son, Mitch, have sold their ‘forever’ home on the water and have purchased a large plot of land in northern Ontario!

It’s hard to believe this is really happening but this family has moved many hours away into quite rugged territory near North Bay.

I had the blessing of being near Mary when she returned for our sisters’ weekend away and also for her to find a new jeep (she did!) and pack up the rest of their stored wares.

I’m SO glad I got to spend as much time as I did with my baby sister.

Terry finally joined me out here in Ontario so we’ve already had some adventures like the new Top Gun movie starring Tom Cruise. (Loved it!) He’s golfed with his dad (who had a fantastic game the other day….at 91 years old!) , and we met up with my brother ( doing ‘blue steel’ face…ha ha) and his bride, Nancy, at The Sandbar restaurant on the water.

And he was with me when we popped in to celebrate Mary for her actual birthday, May 31st.

It was a lovely gathering of family at The Michigan Diner.

The last photo was taken the night before Mary and family headed North for their new life there.

They have plenty of land and hopes and dreams of building a new life in and amongst the trees and streams.

I wish them well and pray that all their plans work out for their new home. Lots to do up there to eventually make their life easier but they all have the heart for it and are moving to one of their favourite areas in Canada.

God bless you, Mary, Grant, and Mitchell…. safe travels.
