Day Two
After another wonderful breakfast at The Country Inn , prayers, etc., we decided to use our ‘day off’’ to head to Calgary for a movie.
We had the ….um…maybe not ‘pleasure’…. of watching “The Whale”. It is very difficult to watch.
Originally a play, this ‘one room’ movie concerns a very very overweight man and people in his life. I don’t want to give away the conflicts but there are many. The acting is tremendous and I would be shocked if Brendan Fraser does not receive an Oscar nomination.
Soon it was time to head back for dinner (Wendy’s salads) and our evening rehearsals.
On the way it was so difficult not to stop every 5 minutes for photos….the winter scenery and sunset was gorgeous.
We finally got to hear our ‘Eddie’ (Terry’s dad as a young man) and it was lovely to hear some other tunes with new voices.
