Christmas “Pool” Parties
The soft snow was steadily falling on the morning of our “Pool” Christmas Party.
Luckily, we have a service that cleans the snow and they came in time to take a layer off.
Our home was decorated, coffee/tea station ready, ham and scalloped potatoes baked, and we were ready for our lovely guests. We had a couple of cancellations due to illness/or bad roads but we still had 14 guests arrive.
I gave them all a silly game to play which was about guessing which Christmas song from the opposite titles….like “Cacophony Day”. ( Silent Night)
Everyone brought the most delicious food and desserts and ,as always, although we didn’t make a list we had just enough of everything. We sang our prayers and then dug in!
I think my favourite comment of the day is “NOW it’s Christmas”. These are the most wonderful friends. Hard to believe we haven’t been in aquasize together for years (because our pool closed for renovations) but we still long to be together.
