It was time to make sure our new ( used ) car was still in good shape for our next leg of the tour so off to mr. Lube for a check up. $200. Later we were assured that all was well . ” Singer / songerwriters : they can make tens of dollars ” ….ha ha ha. We better keep sellin’ those c.d.’S … lol

Next , we decided it would be fun to visit some of the places in the county which inspired terry to write some of his songs. We went to ‘ old belle river road’ and woodslee, the hamlet where terry was raised.

The co-op is no longer there but we took a photo of a couple of the homes in which terry was raised …and also many homes he built with this father. Amazing ! I stood by the sign in front of my old high school and we were sad to see that many of the old street names and buildings are long gone.

We passed a field where we saw hundreds of geese. I’ve never seen so many in one place.

And we stopped to look at someone’s home in lakeshore that had more real pumpkins on their front yard than I would have imagined anyone could have used to decorate. There must have been 100 and then at least that many decorations to augment those ! Talk about getting into hallowe’en !

We returned home to my parents’ house to be spoiled once again with a delicious, home cooked meal . Sigh. It is soooo good to be near our parents and so nice to not eat in a restaurant for a few days.
