WINTER WALK PART 2

I decided to go for another winter walk today. I made a splash of colour against the monochromatic world in which I strolled.

It is still quite mild here so it felt nice to trudge along at a better, safer pace. But instead of walking along the ‘running path’ I decided to walk through Victoria Park.Unlike the icy sidewalks of my neighbourhood, the park had nicely packed snow.

It was so lovely to see all the skaters out on a large, outdoor rink. It looked like a really great way to get exercise in a safe way. I also saw quite a few cross country skiers on the golf course. I can’t walk very fast so I had plenty of opportunities to take photos but I think next time I’ll bring walking poles. I will feel a little more stability that way.

We’re going to have to find ways to get outside of our homes this winter. Covid is making sure we can’t meet up with anyone IN our homes (right now) so one way of feeling happier,at least for me, is to get outside and breathe in the fresh air . You don’t have to wear a mask if you’re by yourself!
