Comfort Food

I think we might all be needing a bit of ‘comfort food’ right now.

My comfort food is the Eucharist. Without the knowledge and the faith that we are not alone and that God understands what we are going through I think I would just fall into despair.

This is the latest news as of tomorrow for Alberta ….

Indoor gatherings

  • All indoor gatherings remain prohibited.

Outdoor gatherings

  • All outdoor social gatherings must be limited to no more than 5 people and a maximum of 2 household cohorts.

It truly feels so scary out there right now. I am praying for India. I’m praying for Canada. I am praying for Jerusalem too.

I am praying for our families and friends to be safe and healthy.

I am comforted by the sun. I am comforted by the Son.

And so Spring is here and so is the third wave. Trying to be brave over here but reading the paper everyday is depressing. So I’m looking for comfort in the love of my family and friends and my other ‘comfort food’….the Word of God.

I find peace this way .

And sometimes I just need some good, old fashioned comfort food. So I’m sharing a recipe that I made the other night. If you feel a chill in the air this is a wonderful , warm dish that tastes so good: Chicken and Dumplings.

Enjoy. Stay safe. You’re in my prayers.

Eat well. Sleep well, my friends.
