Summer beauty

I am feeling pretty blessed right now.

We do not as of yet have any mosquitos and no smoke from wildfires yet either! Much better than last year at this time.

I love how green our two tiny patches of lawn are in the front and the vivid blue/purple of our tall delphiniums waving hello near the road.

Our dark fuschia peonies are all open and pretty, our clematis is climbing, and our Tatar Maple tree in the front yard is sprouting its red keys.

Summer seems so short in Alberta so I don’t want to miss out on all the beauty by being stuck indoors.

The other night we had our first outdoor dinner of the season with my sister, Paula, and her husband, Albert. It was perfect weather!

They brought over a joke gift for Terry (our suffering patient) and the most delicious broccoli salad!

Other than the salad, Terry made the entire dinner himself….including the from SCRATCH , moist white cake with peaches and fresh blueberries. YUM! He also set up the entire yard (table, umbrella, etc.), cooked the meal, and cleaned up too! Um, I think he’s feeling better!

In the winter I dream about these summer days. I don’t want them to fly by too quickly.

Peace, friends.
