Taking “L” To The “Birdies”

There’s a lot to see at the Bloedel Bird Conservatory.

The place is circular so you head in, turn left and look for all the cool species of birds and fish and fauna and flora that you can see. L even saw a couple of mice run by!

Leo didn’t stray far from us if we let go of his hand. And that day he was a ‘grandpa’s boy’ as he wanted to be near his grandpa more than his Nonny…ha ha.

He ‘ooohed’ and ‘aaaahed’ over the ‘fishies’ and the ‘birdies’ and really looked at the flowers too.

It is quite warm inside the building so that felt good and the sounds of birds and small waterfalls is so uplifting.

Grandpa’s knee made a nice seat for Leo but soon it was time to leave and look for a snack. The cherry blossom trees outside were in full, glorious bloom.

After trying unsuccessfully 2 times to find an open coffee shop (one was closed for movie filming, the other was closed as it was too close to dinner time I guess) we finally settled on the old standard, “A & W” for some fries and a drink.

Now we’ve enjoyed our one-on-one days with all of our grandsons. One more week to go…..

P.S. Happy Holy Thursday!
