STORM CHASING

AFTER OUR FAMILY LEFT TO STAY WITH THE INLAWS FOR A COUPLE DAYS WE DECIDED TO DO A COUPLE OF ERRANDS . THIS DIDN’T COMPLETELY PAN OUT BUT WE COULD TELL A BIG STORM WAS COMING IN . DID WE HURRY HOME?  NOPE.  WE DECIDED TO BECOME ‘STORM CHASERS’ AND FOLLOW THE CLOUDS TO SEE IF WE COULD GET SOME COOL SHOTS.

IT WAS GREAT! WE GRABBED TIM HORTON’S COFFEES AND SWITCHED SEATS AS I WANTED TO BE THE PHOTOGRAPHER. TERRY KINDLY DROVE IN WHATEVER DIRECTION I INDICATED AND AWAY WE WENT : FOR TWO HOURS

I HAD SOOOO MUCH FUN TRYING TO CAPTURE THE BEAUTY OF A GIANT SUNBEAM ON A CANOLA FIELD OR A MASSIVE CURTAIN OF RAIN FALLING ON A NEIGHBOURHOOD.

AT ONE POINT WE NEARLY HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE THE RAIN WAS SO THICK AND AT ANOTHER WE TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONING. WE CONTINUED TO LISTEN TO OUR AUDIO BOOK TOO.

IT WAS LIKE GOD TREATED US TO A MAJESTIC CLOUD CONCERT.  SWIRLS AND LIGHT AND COLOUR AND THRILLS.

I LOVE ALBERTA.
