# Throwback Thursday
Missing my high school friends today.
I was cracking up at these old photos of us drinking because I happen to know that they are all fake…ha ha. Well, maybe not Cathy….ha ha ha.
In the third photo over I am putting a beer bottle to my mouth with the cap on and in the last photo Terry is doing the same thing with his friends. (To this day, Terry does not drink and never has…ha ha….. can’t say the same for myself. wink wink)
Gosh, I have such great memories of Belle River High in Ontario, Canada.
I was in the drama club , the school newspaper group, helped out with blood drives and our wee store, “The Dime Bag”, and entered contests like the one above when we had a “50’s Day” and I won for best 50’s costume! You can see me on the far right wearing an actual ‘letter sweater’ with my Mum’s “letter” from when SHE went to the same high school!
Even though we all look SO young in these photos I feel like we are all pretty much the same girls who love God, love each other, and are there for each other still after all of these years.
High school reunion!
Different weights, many hair colours, babies, pets, and stories later we continue to be friends . When this pandemic is finally contained I will be hoping to fly back and get together with these wonderful ladies once again.
We never get tired of reminiscing and the laughs can probably be heard around the block.
Do you have friends with whom you are still in contact with since your high school days?
I know I’m so lucky (blessed!) to have this . I’ll drink to that !
