Last Day Fredericton

What can I say ? Terry and I are just loving the beauty of autumn in fredericton and we can’t resist taking photos of the colours . I think I should make a calendar and have every single month have october photos…ha ha.
Today we decided to ‘give back’ . On our canadian journey we have slotted in several shows for charities , churches or senior’s homes. Today we had the pleasure of singing for the delightful community at paradise village senior’s home.
Our contact, courtney, was wonderful in getting everything in place for our 2 pm concert. She had the most beautiful smile and she set up the room, got us dollies for our copious amounts of equipment , waters ,and then surprised us with a lovely thank you card as we left.
I felt a wee bit sad when I heard that once a month these seniors are entertained by the same musicians with the same songs. I was even happier then to introduce them to our new music and they really seemed to enjoy it and our stories.
One delightful woman tried to pay us to take us with her…ha ha…as she longed to travel and is a singer/guitar player too. I wish we could have made her happy this way but alas, it was not to be.
After the concert we said our good-byes and then head off to enjoy the colourful day once more.
We ended the evening with a guilty pleasure : watching the new downton abbey movie at the theatre. Perfect. All our favourite characters, a simple enjoyable script , and everything tied up with a bow at the end. Yup. Perfect.
