Those Edmonton Blue Skies
No matter how cold it gets here in old “Edmonchuk” I can feel my spirit lighten when I step out of my door to the beautiful, blue skies here.
Yes, we have a lot of snow and once it’s here, it stays! But the big, blue skies above make it seem less cold somehow and I don’t mind doing the errands I have to do out and about the city when I feel that sunshine.
Canada is such a huge country that one side of it can be raking up Autumn leaves while the other is cleaning up after torrential rain storms.
I don’t mind being somewhat in the middle with our expected winter weather.
Although the streets are a bit too icy for me to go for a walk outside currently, I have been able to drive and get out a bit to see the beauty of Edmonton.
We’ve had a good week of temperatures hovering around the +2 mark and I actually like that better than the warm temps in the day and then freezing at night which makes the morning roads treacherous.
Are you a ‘winter person’ ? I love Fall the best. But all of this snow puts me in the mood for getting ready for Christmas and actually it’s time for me to get wrapping up my gifts for Ontario!
