LAST DAY….
WE HAD ONLY BEEN HOME FOR ABOUT A WEEK WHEN IT WAS TIME TO FLY OUT TO VANCOUVER TO VISIT WITH OUR BOYS AND THEIR /OUR FAMILIES .
WE WERE TIRED AND THE THOUGHT OF LEAVING OUR HOME SO SOON WAS AT THE TIME UNAPPEALING . BUT ONCE WE ARRIVED AND SAW THE GREEN GRASS AGAIN AND DREW NEAR TO OUR CHILDREN IT WAS INSTANTLY UPLIFTING TO BE HERE.
WE FOUND A LOVELY BASEMENT SUITE IN A NICE HOUSE NEAR OUR CHILDREN AND THIS MEANT NO STAIRS FOR ME WHICH I APPRECIATE. IT’S A REALLY GREAT PLACE AND WE HAVE BEEN COMFORTABLE HERE.
TODAY WE MET OUR DARREN’S FAMILY AT ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE SPOTS FOR BREAKFAST : NELLIE’S. FUNNY…. EVEN THOUGH WE ARE GOING TO SEE THIS GANG VERY SOON I KIND OF FELT SAD TO LEAVE THEM AFTER OUR MEAL . I JUST LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH.
THIS AFTERNOON WE WERE INVITED TO WATCH OUR 4 YEAR OLD, MYRO’S , SKATING LESSON. HE DID SO WELL AND WAS ABLE TO KEEP HIS BALANCE AND MOVE ALONG WITH SURPRISING AGILITY. THE RINK IS VERY CLOSE TO THEIR HOME AND THE LESSON IS VERY ECONOMICAL TOO.
WE ENJOYED HOT CHOCOLATES AT THOMAS HAAS ON BROADWAY AFTERWARDS . YUM.
SO …WE SAID GOOD-BYE TO THE WEE ONES FOR NOW BUT WE HAVE ONE LAST WONDERFUL EVENING PLANNED WITH OUR SON, JARED AND HIS WIFE, SERVANE. WE ARE GOING OUT FOR DINNER ( PIZZA !) AND THEN TO THE ” VANCOUVER MEN’S CHORUS ” .
IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO MISS OUT ON CHRISTMAS WITH THEM …BUT : WE HAVE BOOKED FLIGHTS TO COME OUT ONE MORE TIME TO MEET THE NEW BABY ! OH BOY …INDEED .
