Old Montreal Part One
Today was another super day ( despite bad backs and knees, etc.)
We really enjoyed looking around old montreal . There were many touristy shops that reminded me of banff but the buildings were gorgeous and the people watching ….great too.
We got terry into the chiropractor in the morning after a very marginal holiday inn breakfast ( cold eggs, cold tea and cold toast ) . It was incredible to get him that appointment considering it is thanksgiving day. So we are so thankful to pascale harvey at vitalis chiropractique. ( I received a lovely video chat /call with our son, darren and his wife, jenny and our 2 grandsons, otto and marcel. Sounds like they gathered our western family together for a thanksgiving perogi supper { 150 handmade by jenny and darren!} And the meal turned into a feast by the generous add-ons by appreciative family arrivals last night. Sorry we couldn’t have been with them all . And so much fun to hear how excited our grandsons are about hallowe’en . )
Next stop: lunch at papillon with terry. The meal was pretty good but too big so we did our usual thing which is to try and find someone who might be hungry. God always seems to direct us to the person who might need a meal and sure enough we found a someone who was happy to receive our extra food.
We had a delightful time looking around at all the historical buildings and taking photos of the beauty around us. We stopped and marvelled at the massive notre dame cathedral which had a lineup of folks waiting to get in that snaked around the whole building.
But I saved my favourite photos for part 2……
