What a wonderful but bittersweet feeling it is to come home after an incredible month away with my extended south western ontario family. Great to reunite with my husband- difficult to say good-bye to Ontario friends and family.
I was so blessed to be able to spend quality time with my in-laws and my parents . I had a birthday mid-week away with my husband at Niagara on the Lake, a fantastic reunion with my dear girlfriends from grade school/high school , hung out with my sisters, Mary and Pam and brother, John ( who gave me a cool tour of his work at Caesar’s, Windsor), and celebrated my Mom’s 80th on our famous sister weekend , ” The Girls’ Weekend Away ” .
We also celebrated my Dad’s 83rd birthday , went to a funeral for an old friend, and of course Mother’s Day was in there too !
I had some tough days with 2 of my closest friends, Rose and Barb , when we went away for a B & B weekend in Waterloo. Prayers needed for peace and health for situations both are concerned about.
Throughout the month I was able to continue to illustrate 2 of my children’s books, paint for enjoyment and for the upcoming ” The Works” in Edmonton, and work on the ” Elvis song ” for my friend, Jason.
Family. Friends. Creativity. And a prayerful reminder that life is short. May was lovely.
Looking forward to the blessings June will bring.
